Academics at Saint Louis University is continuing to make progress on establishing a University Core Curriculum, improving Academic Advising, and updating our academic technologies. Our administration will continue to advocate for students in all of these areas, and seeks to be a voice in some new ones as well.
We will push for a core that increases ease of switching majors, emphasizes cross-disciplinary study, and does not overload any majors with work. We will work with the advising leadership to present a student's progress in a way that is clear, accessible, and intuitive. We will be a voice in the process of evaluating and possibly replacing academic technologies that are not up to date.
Additionally, we want make academic resources more accessible to students combating mental health issues. We also want to create an appropriate process to identify and address issues of equity inside the academic landscape.
